This year’s Australia Day fun run/walk – on 26 January, of course – will be starting from the corner of Herbert Street and The Esplanade, and the 4km course takes in the Waterfront precinct. Registration is from 6am and the event gets underway at 7am. You can also register online at www.ntathletics.org.au. If this is a little too strenuous, there’s a gentle introduction to orienteering in the Botanic Gardens starting at any time between 8am and 9.30am in the lower car park.
